Brunch at Bills Trafford Centre, Manchester, was exactly what me and my friend needed to fuel us for our day of shopping. We only needed an outfit. I walk past Bills Restaurant in Deansgate near enough every day on the way to work, its never really come across my mind to go for brunch there. But hey, i thought i’d give it a go.
Bill’s begun as a little greengrocery shop in East Sussex, and as business began to bloom the shop was moved onto the high street. All was going well until the town was hit by a flood in 2000. Having to start again, they built a cafe within the shop and have grown ever since. Now, it’s a chain of more than 50 eateries, with 2 Bills in Manchester: Deansgate and Trafford centre.
Bills in the Trafford centre is located on the top floor of the food court, opposite Weatherspoons. It’s very easy to find. If you know where the statues of the band stand is then it is literally there, at the beginning the of the sign where it says ‘New Orleans’.
To kick off our brunch at Bills, we both had cwfee, Flat White and Cappuccino. While perusing the menu after ordering our drinks, i was torn between the Eggs Benedict and their Signature fry up. I genuinely couldn’t decide, so we tossed a coin and the fry up it was. I’m not a fan of baked beans, i’d eat it but mehh. Give me spaghetti hoops anyday! Of course, with my breakfast i had to order a side of bubble and squeak rosti – potentially the best rosti i’ve had! There was just something about it, very flavoursome, cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There is definitely some special ingredient in there. Fancy sharing the recipe our Bill?
My friend ordered the pancakes; Strawberry, Banana and Maple Syrup on Blueberry Buttermilk Pancake. Oh my word, it was moreish. Bit too sweet for me, but then again i’m more of a savoury kinda gal.
Needless to say, we didn’t end up buying anything. We did queue up for laser quest but decided against it, once we saw the people in front of us! So we ended in the arcade (bottom floor) and went on the bumper cars – poor kids.
Go on tell a friend, Brunch at Bills Trafford Centre is definitely recommended.
